Correct. Especially since many have already dealt with the topic at the end of the fixed interest period in 2023 (Forward).
We signed our loan agreement back in 2013 with a 15-year fixed interest period and had just under 3%. Since almost everyone in our residential area built at the same time, the 10 years will soon be up for almost everyone.
I have heard that some have entered into forwards or are currently restructuring.
Since the labor market has developed very positively during this time, we were able to make a lot of special repayments and will terminate our loan with a 15-year fixed interest period at the earliest possible date in 2024 and fully repay it in 2025. I have also heard from others that they are already finished.
So I also do not believe in a major wave of defaults in the near future.
