Cupboard under the stairs or small storage room

Hello everyone,

my boyfriend and I will start building our (hopefully) dream house early next year. We are now very satisfied with the floor plan, but we are not quite sure how to use the space under the stairs. Our idea at first was to have a door on the ground floor to use the space as a small storage room. (I hope you can see that in the floor plan) On Pinterest, I have now seen that many have built a built-in wardrobe under the stairs. What do you think is more sensible? Does anyone have something similar? We would like both, now we have the difficult choice ... here are a few photos:

a storage room under the stairs only makes sense if you have enough space in front of the stairs.
In your case, I would recommend a closet. It offers significantly more storage space.

How many square meters of storage space do you have there approximately?

We are having pull-out cabinets (roll carts) about 70 cm wide, customized by the staircase builder for a similar staircase, as well as drawers built on the flat side.

This allows us to utilize the entire space under the staircase.

The cabinets will have shelves and wardrobe rods; they are intended as a storage area for cans and similar items as well as for shoes and clothing.
