Hello again During the kitchen planning, another question regarding the upper crown moldings has arisen: If I plan a Lidingö wall cabinet with glass doors in my kitchen and select a crown molding in the planner options, the online planner does the following: It places a profiled decorative molding (Item No. 800.906.38) on the front and a "normal" molding on the sides, see picture. This molding does not appear in the online planner's item list. I have also selected the side panels for this wall cabinet. The planner draws the side panels so that they are slightly longer at the bottom than the wall cabinet (intended for a bottom decorative molding), but at the top the side panel ends exactly with the cabinet height. Therefore, a "step" results at the top between the side panel and the side decorative molding. My question to you: Which upper, side molding does the online planner draw? What is the item number? How should the upper crown moldings generally be mounted? As the online planner suggests, or should profiled decorative moldings also be used on the sides? Best regards Section Chief

Hi,

I had to smile a little at your picture. Another meaningless feature of the online planner that cannot be explained. This edge on the side does not exist. If you have several cabinets side by side, the decorative strip is simply laid continuously. If you have only a single cabinet or a cabinet at the end, you cut the [Perfekt-Dekorleiste] at a miter and thus wrap it around the cabinet; the protruding cover side disappears underneath. Unfortunately, this is not shown in the planner.

Best regards

Thank you, although the planner does calculate the number of required decorative strips correctly.
For example, if I hang 2 pieces of 30 cm wall cabinets separately on the wall and want a surround crown molding for each, the planner enters 1x220 cm decorative strip.
That is correct, since per cabinet it’s 2x40 cm (depth) plus 30 cm (width) equals 110 cm, which is exactly 220 cm for 2 cabinets.
If I add a third 30 cm wall cabinet, then 2x220 cm decorative strips are entered in the article list.

So it is purely a display error of the planner, the material is apparently calculated correctly.

That’s true. The planner usually calculates correctly, but the representation is often not correct. But I have also experienced it the other way around many times. For example, you can install the electrical devices once, but not remove all of them from the list anymore, at least that was the case half a year ago.

Exactly. One must not assume that the article list is correct and that one can rely on the total price. The planner does not enter the Rationell drawers into the list, which results in a price difference of several hundred euros... How is it actually before the purchase. You would have to go through the I-Sell list item by item and check whether every hinge, every strip, etc. is present, right?
Best regards

Consider waste and miter cuts, additionally glue the miter cuts with silicone during assembly and fix with clamps until cured, it just looks better and cleaner then.
