I think a break-in is something different from when something "goes missing" at some point.
I completely agree. During one of our many moves, a mobile phone went missing. The moving company, with whom we had moved many times before, reacted well. They had a temporary worker that day and immediately suspected them. When confronted with a trick, this person admitted the next day to having pocketed the phone and successfully sold it on EBAY. At least they had to retrieve it. All’s well that ends well. The temporary worker was fired and we would move with this moving company again anytime. Conclusion: Even if a craftsman behaves badly sometimes, it doesn’t mean the whole company is bad.
And on the topic of "when something goes missing at some point": Our children, when they were toddlers, emptied wallets and threw the contents, including credit cards, into the trash. We discovered it just in time before the trash was emptied. Otherwise, we probably would have suspected someone else innocently…..
