Costs of earthworks with gravel (0-32/45)

Hello everyone,

we are currently planning a house. Due to the soil survey, we are only allowed to fill with gravel (0-32/45). We have an offer from the developer for this. He charges about €52 per cubic meter (gross) for the gravel including delivery and compaction. We need about 300 cubic meters.

I would like to have your assessment of the offer.

Since you are building with a developer, the question of whether the price is good or bad is irrelevant anyway. You will have to pay it anyway.

If you contract it out externally, you might not get liability coverage for the house.

The stuff costs 11 euros plus tax for us. So a price comparison might be worthwhile. I cannot answer how the warranty looks.

But certainly not per cubic meter, rather per ton - so about 1/2 cubic meter. Although 11€ is also a good price for the ton.

It was really quite late yesterday. Yes, 11 euros per ton. Of course without delivery and tax.

We pay €27/m³ for frost protection gravel 0-45 UF5 including placement and compaction.
