sfz.. We will, with a lot of BAD LUCK, also have to raise our 100m² floor slab by about 50 cm.. I don't even want to know what that will cost.. (I do want to know, but then I'll cry..)

For any warranty claims, you should have a soil survey conducted. Otherwise, the construction company can excuse themselves in case of damage to the house.

A soil survey is YOUR security!

Then they build according to standard... reinforcement and so on. And when your house collapses, they will say: "without a [Bodengutachten] we could not know the risks." That is their loophole in the warranty. Of course THEY don't need an expert report, but YOU do. This runs through the entire house construction.

So I just present it to them and say this is how it looks, there may be a need for action? Sorry if I ask stupidly, but hopefully you only build once, so as a layperson you can't always know everything.

By the way, according to this/your statement, not having a soil survey done would be grossly negligent. How do you even come up with that idea, ...

YOU are the builder, it is YOUR house, and YOU will live in it! Everything should be done in your interest! If anything is done carelessly, it is up to you to initiate changes. And if necessary, you might even have to get hands-on yourself. It is not done in the interest of the construction company, but in your interest! That's how it is.
