So for excavation and loading/storing we pay €3 per m3. Disposal costs extra.
Installing and compacting material is quite expensive; our current offer is about €25 per m3 with existing material. For example, if compaction with gravel is necessary due to water or similar, costs can be significantly higher if material has to be delivered. This is then not decided by the amount of available material but by the soil report.
The figures are up to date.
Did you calculate the 210 m3 yourself or does it come from a reliable source? It seems clearly too little for a hillside. We have about 300 m3 of working space to be backfilled just for compacting a 3-side basement in a hillside. And those are only the "edges" of the excavation pit…
Better double-check volumes before the nasty surprise with the bill comes.
By the way, I have no clue either, but this topic is currently relevant for us.
€3/m3 seems very, very low to me... we had a significantly larger volume of excavation and paid much more... however, we were also charged by the hour (excavator including operator).
€3 would mean that the 210 m3 of excavation would only cost just under €600?!? The volume corresponds to over 300 tons (for us the factor was 1.8-2.0 since it was rocky)... as a rule of thumb, an excavator usually manages about 0.5x horsepower = m3/hour... that is hardly achievable in 6 hours and the hourly rate for such an excavator is certainly not less than €100 (including operator)... not to forget diesel consumption... however, this is just my amateur opinion.
