Cost of tree felling permit

Hello,

does anyone here have a general idea of how expensive a permit for tree felling is? I asked our building authority, but somehow I couldn't make sense of the answer.
I asked whether the costs for the felling permit are calculated per tree or for the entire felling. We are wondering if there is a fee for the permit overall or if a fee is due for each tree.
The answer was: The individual tree felling permit, however, approximately 400 euros in total.

So what now, total or per tree? How do you understand that? Per tree would be quite steep... I have about 10 trees! And only for the permit 4000,- ?????

Or does anyone have experience with felling permits in the Potsdam or Potsdam-Mittelmark area?

Per tree, it would be usury...

Here(!) it depends on: hardware store, trunk diameter. The potentially necessary replacement planting then becomes expensive (presumably/obvious: per tree).

It's not about the replacement planting. It's solely about the approval. If I also include the replacement planting as well as the felling of the trees, then I end up at around 10,000 EUR. That's the horror, even when it comes to our nature...

Such costs should actually (!) be clearly determinable through the municipal statute or corresponding documents. Right?

After a brief quick check on Google, tree felling on private property is exempt from approval, provided that bird protection, outside the vegetation period, etc., is observed, and as long as the trunk diameter is under 60 cm. But!: This can be restricted by municipal regulations. Actually, a corresponding regulation should be found in the local law of your city/municipality. If the municipality has no own regulation, state law applies.
