Cost estimation of a simple utility basement

First, plan the extension with a basement. Better let an architect design it. Then contact companies. Then you have real prices.

Sure, we will do exactly that. However, we have (like probably most builders) an overall budget that should ideally not be exceeded. Ours is 900,000. And when it comes to construction prices... It makes a big difference whether around 40k or 80k will be spent on a basement. Since the costs for many other expensive things are also hard to estimate in advance, it's really difficult to figure out roughly what the total sum will be in the end. That's why I'm so interested in the experiences of other basement builders.

A small cellar room of maybe 12sqm (house is from 1900). There is also no staircase, only a hatch in the floor from the current kitchen, with a chicken ladder. We wouldn't even use this old cellar.

With the year of construction, the water connection and the water meter are often in the cellar, so don't cover it up and then have to search for it.

The existing building is partially basemented, but only in the front area. A small cellar room of about 12 sqm (the house is from 1900). There is also no stairway down, only a hatch in the floor from the current kitchen, with a chicken ladder. We would not use this old cellar at all. We would build an extension in the rear area and basement it, about 8 m away from the current cellar. We do not have a soil survey. Therefore, I initially assumed the worst (= most expensive) and planned with a "white tank" (waterproof concrete basement). Maybe we can do without it. It is not supposed to become a living basement.

Where is the cellar located relative to this house, and how identical is it to that of the other half of the house?
