Thank you very much for your answers. We are well aware that it cannot be implemented easily, but with a proper cover over the [Rollladenkasten] it should be possible, right?

Many roads lead to Rome. It also depends on the entire structure and what one understands by corner window. I had a slightly larger version in mind than had shown. That certainly varies quite a bit.

Of course not, you simply ask the Greek god Atlas to carry the upper part of this corner of the house

That thing is called a lintel, and the proper way would probably be to extend it well beyond the window reveals.

Nowadays, people often omit the window lintels and extend the roller shutter boxes right up to the ceiling. A slim little support can carry the corner roller shutter box – but not what’s above it. Then, a shameless amount of static reinforcement has to go into the ceiling.

Usually, so nothing spoils the view through the kitchen window of the streetlight and the trash bin enclosure

From my point of view, one of those "The Hoppenstedts have it too" hype gimmicks.

A lintel or beam is a support made of reinforced concrete, steel, or wood that lies above the ceiling and carries the load of a ceiling or wall from the upper floor. A lintel is necessary when there is no load-bearing wall and a beam below is not desired.

Nope, I rather trust the structural engineer who calculated the dimensions of the overlay.

I don't know how much such antics increase the building’s fee for the structural engineer—but the overlay itself also has financial dimensions. If you were to calculate them individually and charge them to the window price, some builders would probably reconsider how often they enjoy the corner view.
