For us, only a smooth covering is an option, so no carpet or fitted carpet.

In addition, we do not want tiles or natural stone, as we find them cold underfoot.

Yesterday, I had a PVC sample, the new ones really look good! Whether it is natural or not is of minor importance to me personally.

I also like screed, but I have never tested it. Is it cold when you touch it? Seems complicated to install!

Screed? It is usually beneath every floor covering today. Or do you mean exposed screed?

I somehow don't believe that an uncleaned carpet from mass production is healthier in the mouth than vinyl. Those things are all soaked with pesticides. I come from a family of allergy sufferers and find it funny that carpet air is supposed to be better?! Most people have problems with dust mites and they build fantastic big cities in carpets.

The habitat for the mites is the bed. In the Federal Republic, about 66% of all house-dwelling mites could be detected here. Half of these are found in the mattresses and the rest in duvets, mattress covers, and blankets. In second place are the upholstered furniture, in which about 20% could still be detected. In the carpets, about 4% could be isolated in the bedroom and about 10% in the living room. The mites in the carpet are mostly presumably animals that have emigrated from mattresses and upholstered furniture and frequently die here. A contamination risk therefore primarily arises in apartments from mattresses and upholstered furniture and not from the floor coverings.

Does anyone have experience with this type of screed? I am considering using screed for part of the floors. What do I need to pay attention to?
