Hello, a core drilling still needs to be carried out here. Through 36 cm masonry made of KLB stones. 150 mm diameter. However, the interior walls have all already been painted. My question: does the drilling produce a lot of dust?

Best regards, Steffi.

Normally this is done with water! That makes a nice broth.

Oh God.. no, that won't work... everything has already been painted over at that spot...

Without water it doesn't work... the drill must be cooled... and also to bind the dust.

KLB is kind of like Ytong? That is drilled without water.. doesn’t make much mess either, the dust is directly vacuumed through the drill bit. For us (Poroton) it was a clean job.

We made a core drilling in the concrete basement from outside to inside; the drill was cooled with water. Outside, there were occasional sprays, but also at the breakthrough inside. The inner walls in the basement had already been painted white, so I repainted the corresponding spot because of the dirt.
