Cooling with the Weishaupt Biblock WBB 12-A-RMD-AI?

our general contractor will install a Weishaupt air-water heat pump in our single-family house (exact model designation see above).

Now I read on the Weishaupt website that the "high standard equipment" already includes, among other things, the "complete equipment for cooling operation." It is described similarly in the brochure with "complete equipment for cooling."

However, I cannot find any further information on this. Presumably, this refers to underfloor cooling, or does anyone have other information? And how exactly does it work – if I set the thermostat of the underfloor heating to 18° in the summer, it will cool, or how?

Thanks! I was asking whether you have to buy/order something extra or if it is automatically included. The central ventilation system then takes over the regulation of the humidity... I was advised to use the enthalpy heat exchanger here. In combination, it should be more comfortable in the summer.

What is included, I can't tell you, sorry. And I doubt that your ventilation system can dehumidify. Thanks to EWT, they can maintain the humidity a bit better in the house. In winter. You can only dehumidify with a cold spot, and that only exists with heat pumps. Therefore my tip: install an air conditioner.

We have installed exactly the same air-to-water heat pump but are currently still in the screed heating phase, so I can provide little practical experience. We asked our plumbing company whether it can also cool. The answer was that it is generally possible with the device, but additional parts and work are necessary, which he estimated at about 1,500 - 2,000 euros. I can't say exactly what that was because we initially decided against it.

As far as I know, you definitely need a dew point monitoring system to shut off the system when condensation forms. We should also run a control cable from the technical room to the heating circuit distributors so that we can retrofit the cooling later.
