Actually, I am currently concerned about the rust. Whether an electric towel radiator is needed, I can't say yet as I am still adjusting the heating. It certainly wouldn't be wrong since there is already a radiator anyway. Do you think a heating technician would come out for something like this? I mean for disconnecting and, if possible, equipping with an electric heating cartridge.

Yes, certainly a heating engineer also has something to earn from it. You can also have the [MAG] replaced right away; these are often made of simple steel and promote corrosion in the system. That already gives him more incentives.

Sorry, probably a stupid question but what does MAG stand for?

MembraneExpansionVessel. Compensates for temperature-related volume differences in the heating circuit of the heating system.

but you will probably have to wait a little longer. MAG are currently the gold of heating engineers and hard to get.

… and they are not exactly cheap either. To make it rust-free for installation, you then take one for Brauchwasser, an Airfix. The pre-pressure in the vessel must then also be released accordingly. For underfloor heating, 50l vessels are often used as well. o_O
