Control a second lamp with a motion sensor lamp?

Hello everyone,

we have two light outlets in the entrance area of the house for which we are currently looking for lamps. Our goal is for both lamps to turn on and off synchronously. However, my wife does not find it visually appealing to install an extra motion sensor that controls both lamps. If we buy a lamp with an integrated motion sensor – is it then possible to somehow link it with the second lamp so that it also responds to the motion sensor?

Many thanks to the experts.

Best regards
Mr. Stein

That depends on the wiring...

That definitely works, because we have it like that. With us, the motion detector activates a lamp at the front door and one above the garage door. The electrician will know how to do it.

Read the post again. He does not have a separate motion detector, only a lamp with an integrated motion detector, through which another lamp is also supposed to be controlled. Either the lamp with the motion detector has an output or you tinker with the lamp.
