Good morning forum,
has anyone here had experience with how much you really save if you take on the house construction yourself and contract the trades individually?
The following scenario:
We had actually found a suitable partner, a very well-known provider in Germany who builds with aerated concrete blocks. Here, building a city villa of about 9 x 10 meters would cost around €300,000 (without basement and without tiles/laminate).
Now, an acquaintance said, get an architect and inquire the trades individually.
Assuming I now take a plan and contract the trades individually (civil engineering, roof structure, electrical, windows, heating, screed - to name the main points), how much do you really “save”?
Thanks for your answers.
