Hello dear forum,

we are about to start the shell construction and I would like to monitor the construction site with a camera. Neighbors are not a problem.

Do you have any tips? Requirements would be LTE, large battery, and solar panels.

Are Reolink cameras recommendable? Who has practical experience?

Thank you very much

Yes, I have a tip - don't do it. Not only do you have to make every craftsman aware of it, they will hate you for not even being able to pick their nose in peace. Trust relationship is zero from the start! Better: show up there more often, leave a crate of soda there and watch live what is going on on site. Best regards

Our site manager clearly communicated: No construction photos and videos with workers, the workers do not want that.

Do you want that as site security after work hours?

Reolink cameras are good. I can recommend them. However, I wouldn't do it or find it good during the construction phase. Better go to the construction site more often and show your interest. Maybe also bring a crate of water / beer there sometimes.

Water... bring water, bring sandwiches, bring hot coffee and don't forget milk and sugar. Talk to the people there and don't be arrogant. They are professionals, you are an amateur. If you notice something that might not be right, play dumb and ask if it has to be that way, instead of insisting on millimeter accuracy with a folding ruler. Always remember. None of the workers building your place will ever be able to afford a house like this in their lifetime...

And very important: Beer or alcohol has absolutely no place on a construction site (and also otherwise "at work"), unless you are celebrating the topping-out ceremony.

Just as little as camera surveillance. That is, if at all, the responsibility of the construction company to prevent theft. Because as long as you have not taken over the house, it is not your problem if anything gets stolen there. So there is no reason for you to install surveillance.
