Construction supervision in the Dortmund area: Association of Private Builders or SV

Hello everyone,

that we want to build with a construction supervisor is beyond question. We have obtained a few offers and have the difficult choice: either a construction supervisor from the Regional Directorate Association of Private Builders (Association of Private Builders) or an independent/freelance expert recommended by a friend.

Both would visit the construction site 7 times and want to write 7 protocols, only that one costs about €1600-1800 and the other €2600 (flat rate).

The expensive, freelance expert is supposed to be very good (says the buddy), but simply spending €800 more at the beginning for something I can also get elsewhere for less money... well.

Any advice, recommendations?

7 inspections are simply too few for qualified construction supervision/monitoring. An architect receives 30% of his fee for this, and that does not make him a rich man.

I asked a few of my friends who are also building or have built – 7 seems to be a consistent number of inspections with different construction supervisors.

Whether that is simply too few... no idea... but that's not what this thread is about.

Some acquaintances of mine were also around that number and were satisfied. The construction supervision by the TÜV, I believe, is no longer provided.

Hm, your friends are qualified enough to judge whether their own construction supervision was sufficient!.? Respect for their expertise. The TÜV is the standard for bqü?! well then.....

Nightdancer... we only report what we hear from others and are not professionals in the field. If you think that more than just 7 viewings are needed, then I believe you.

May I ask you for such a viewing plan, since I only have ones with 7 items. A copy/paste or a link is enough for me – I just want to try to determine which points are missing in my viewing plan.
