You don't have to hire an external SiGeKo! Who would do that for a normal single-family house? Formally, you are the SiGeKo yourself anyway, and a safety and health plan is not mandatory at all. It has to be more than just a single-family house being built and certain regulations must be met in order to require one. I haven't seen an external SiGeKo in the private sector for years.

Ordinance on Safety and Health Protection on Construction Sites (Construction Site Ordinance - BaustellV) § 3 Coordination (1) For construction sites where employees of several employers are working, one or more suitable coordinators must be appointed. (2) During the planning of the execution of the construction project, the coordinator shall 1. coordinate the measures provided for in § 2 para. 1, 2. prepare or have prepared the safety and health protection plan, and 3. compile documentation containing the necessary information to be considered for possible later work on the structural facility regarding safety and health protection. (3) During the execution of the construction project, the coordinator shall 1. coordinate the application of the general principles according to § 4 of the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 2. ensure that employers and contractors without employees fulfill their duties under this ordinance, 3. adapt or have adapted the safety and health protection plan in the event of significant changes in the execution of the construction project, 4. organize the cooperation of the employers, and 5. coordinate the monitoring of the proper application of working methods by the employers.

And? There is nothing different in it than what I wrote. Intensive reading helps - (1) sentence 2 is the usual procedure. The explanations about the SG plan are missing, by the way.

Oh, when reviewing the SiGeKo I realize that I probably need something like that for my renovation as well.

My ridge is 9.5m high and therefore according to Annex 2 I have a dangerous construction site where one can fall.

Does something like that really cost 2,000€ or even more?

There's nothing in there other than what I wrote. I'd say we briefly pat each other on the shoulders.

You are the safety officer.

That is clear so far, but then I have to create plans and post them, right?
