Hello everyone,

we will soon start a (core) renovation. I am now considering how to provide electricity and water at the construction site. The lines will be disconnected. Do you then have to order construction water and electricity from the suppliers, or do you perhaps have a good idea? How do you proceed?

Neighbors are always a good option. If you don’t need huge amounts of electricity and water (e.g., for a construction site dryer or similar), the consumption is rather low and you can agree on a flat rate of maybe 100-300€, depending on the size of the renovation...

In my opinion, there is no other alternative. If there is a body of water on the property and you are actually allowed to use it (which is usually not the case), you can also connect a garden pump with a hose. Or a well, same deal. But electricity? Only through a neighbor or construction site power.
