There is the possibility to deliberately and plannedly install sockets in the wall at a nice working height. For this, you don't have to put a socket in the narrow area, which somehow looks like a blemish in the wrong place.

You think it is better to place a socket somewhere at working height in a room (e.g., children's room), even though the furniture there can and will change from time to time? Then better in the reveal where no piece of furniture will ever be placed for sure. Our window sills are never empty either, so the socket absolutely does not stand out. I would do it that way again.

We also had sockets installed in the recesses. It doesn't bother us that much. We don't really notice them. Maybe others do. But who cares about others?

I love our recess sockets in the living room!! We had them installed specifically. For Christmas lights and the remaining 52 weeks very practical for charging phones and more. I won’t let anything happen to my recess sockets.

I think I will devote a bit more time to the topic of "Steckdosen" during the planning.
