For exactly these reasons, many choose to build with a general contractor.

The described problem exists with architect houses, which often have a construction time of over one year.

The usually cheap purchase on the internet may often be tempting but also entails such risks.

I also think that once the proper delivery arrives soon, the contract with the window company is fulfilled. Everything else is a personal problem.

If you had built with GU, the hut would easily be 50 grand more expensive, look at it from that perspective. So what are those 6000 to you? So get up and keep going!

Yes, but here we have single awarding combined with goods from the internet. The OP should be glad that a craftsman installs it.

As I said, I doubt that a craftsman installs windows. Because it’s at most pointless for him, he doesn't earn anything from it. Windows are one of the trades where the labor portion for installation makes up about 10-20% of the total costs. I can hardly imagine that a window installer would go along with that.

Maybe we'll still be enlightened :)

Honestly, I don't think anything can be done about that. Consol yourself with the fact that you don't have to distribute any profit to a [GU]. That's exactly why a proper buffer needs to be calculated. I'm sure you did that. So make the best of it.
