Construction costs with or without land

Hi everyone!

Maybe you can give me a quick heads-up: I want to move in with my girlfriend, long-distance relationship.

A house would of course be really cool. Is that possible without own money? I mean, we would save rent then?

A plot of land wouldn't be a problem, my parents have one, we could build on it.

Something like rent-to-own is a myth. It doesn’t exist. Without your own money it’s difficult, unmarried even more difficult, and if the property is worthless, it won’t work at all. Don’t believe everything that is written on posters.

Who can I turn to in order to find out what the property is worth? Isn't there some kind of appraiser at the Sparkasse who can say something about that?
