Construction costs in Berlin per m2 please

it is supposed to become a basement or workshop,
groundwater will probably have to be lowered and I better calculate with 200 TEuro per m², but that is hardly cheaper than 1400,-- per m²

Regarding the article: The general trend away from basements has its reasons (fewer stairs, space is created where it is needed and short walking distances, ...). The article is of course great marketing, one study per basement from a site that calls itself pro-basement... yeah, makes sense. Numbers twisted however you want, you can calculate a lot in your favor.

It really depends on where you build. I think in metropolitan areas with high land costs, the question of whether to omit the basement does not arise. There is no alternative to spreading out above ground. With a 1000 sqm plot, I would most likely also omit the basement today if I were to build now.
