I’ll put a damper on that. In my opinion, the chipboard floor is a design flaw. Underneath is insulation, which does get humidity from below but cannot get rid of it because of the chipboard. This means a risk of mold. I recommend removing the chipboard, nailing on tongue and groove boards, which are vapor permeable. On the tongue and groove boards you put carpet with a high natural fiber content. This way you have a warm-footed, nice room. Karsten
You have to imagine it like this: the picture where you see it from below is the bedroom where insulation wool was placed between, vapor barrier foil, and then 12mm thick OSB 3 boards with which we covered the slant and ceiling in the bedroom. I like your idea with the tongue and groove boards; the only question is whether they would later support the weight if a desk or a small cabinet is placed there?
