Hello forum members...
I am reaching out here because we are somewhat desperate.
We bought a new building at a fixed price with a construction service description.
Our plot has the requirement that the municipal utilities provide the heating, we have to rent it from them, etc... it's annoying but that's how it is. This means for the house purchase that the heating position was removed from the contract. So far so good.
The underfloor heating part remains and it will also be installed. Unfortunately, in the part about the heating that was removed, there is a crucial sentence on which the builder's installer now relies. It says, "the heating system is connected with flow and return to the heating circuit distributors. After the installation of the heating system and connection to the heating circuit distributors, the underfloor heating will be filled."
The municipal utilities do not do this. The installer now says that this is no longer covered by the house purchase and he will send us an additional cost offer.

This now amounts to €4,160. And I just can’t believe it and am asking for expert opinions to tell me whether this is a bitter pill we have to swallow and whether the prices are realistic or not...

Thank you in advance...!

1.00 pc flushing and initial filling of the heating system according to VDI 2035 - €340

1.00 pc drainage connections floor drain and funnel siphon - €187.33

1.00 pc additional heater for screed drying - €992.00

1.00 pc additional expansion vessel according to DIN EN 13831 - €154.00

1.00 pc connection of the underfloor heating made of corrosion-resistant material including diffusion-tight insulation - €931.35

1.00 pc heating circuit pump group for supply of the underfloor heating as well as the connection to the existing buffer storage tank - €891.47

Hello,
of course it’s an unfortunate overlap but the heating installer is unfortunately right. If the city that provides the heating does not also take over the connection of the underfloor distributors, the heating installer can charge for this service.
It was similar for me back then. We have district heating. The transfer station was installed and connected on the input side by the municipality, and everything behind the station I had to provide and connect myself.
What I don’t understand and would question, however, is the item for the auxiliary heating for screed drying. Can or may the city’s heating not take over this part?

Thanks for the answer. I also called the utility company again, which confirmed this as well. Furthermore, the price is reasonable and this connection should always be done by the same installer who installed the underfloor heating anyway. But we wanted that anyway.

Yes, I just questioned the screed drying. The screed comes in mid-July, no idea why that should be necessary in the middle of summer.

The price is about right including Hotboy. Look forward to the electricity bill :-)

The question is, however, why the hotboy is necessary. Heating can theoretically also be done via the city's heating system. And almost €1000 rental fee is definitely a significant amount.

Yes, it is usually that expensive - one hour with two people and a cartridge for demineralization.

The drainage is fine.
Charging almost 1,000€ for the supply line to the heating circuit distributor made of 1" aluminum composite (3-6m?) is a proud price... surely due to the high material costs.

Why shouldn't you be able to use the heating from the municipal utilities there? Or does the timing not work?
What kind of heating is that anyway? Or is it local/district heating?

That is fine.
