Hello!

We bought a Pax. 4 carcasses each 50cm. Now we want to install a Striberg light strip in each carcass. But since we only have one socket and don’t want to pull 4 cables, I planned to connect the strips together and then connect them using only one plug. But for that I have to drill holes in the carcass walls, right? Because otherwise I can’t pull the cables across. And also to get out of the cabinet to the socket I have to drill a hole, don’t I, or am I totally off track? Do you understand what I mean!?

How did you do it?

Thanks for the help.

Best regards, Pia

Yes, you have to drill holes. I only drilled 10mm holes at the very top in the corners of the back panels (and not in the side panels) and from there guided the cables to the front with small, white, self-adhesive cable ducts.

Thank you for the response, the back side is a good idea!

But 10mm is not enough. The connection cables Ansluta are much bigger at the connectors, they are 15mm and more.
Or can the connectors be removed?

I do not have the boxes in the cabinet but behind/on the cabinet. The cable and the plug for the actual strip fit through 10mm. This has the advantage that the cable duct (10x10mm) runs directly and straight into the corner.

I peeled off the grip grooves on the Striberg connector with a cutter and then pushed the connector through one of the existing holes on the front. The cable routing is then invisible on the top.
The ceiling and base plates are identical; the holes in the base plate are intended for adjusting the support feet. There are white blind covers for both holes.
Anyone who doesn’t trust themselves to slightly taper the connectors can also slightly drill out the hole.

In my opinion, this is the cleanest, fastest, and cheapest solution.

I don't understand, which holes on the front side?

Since the Striberg is usually mounted under the first shelf (counted from the top), I find it easiest to notch the shelf on the side and simply run the cable sideways along the shelf toward the back. Then a small hole in the back panel and voilà to the transformer. Practically invisible and takes at most a minute.
