In our utility room on the ground floor, we have noticed considerable condensation on the uninsulated parts of the piping and the water meter. This has dripped downwards or run down the pipes within the insulation, and now the insulation in that area is slightly damp. The pipes and the water meter themselves are constantly covered with condensation. Currently, we have rough-sawn boards lying on top of wooden battens with insulation in between, but we will probably change this in the area of the pipes. The question is, however, how did you insulate the pipes and parts of the water line to prevent the water from dripping down? Even if it were tiled, the moisture would still run down the pipe to the floor slab/insulation.

With us, the pipes are insulated, the water meter is not fogged up, we have not filled a pool yet, because we don’t have one ;)

Thank you. The pipes are also largely insulated, but not the brass parts. The water meter as well as the fittings are really wet. We have now exposed it on the floor and quickly got some of the wrap insulation for the pipe and are trying a thick cloth around the meter. Just approaching the issue and seeing... In any case, it seems that the metal pipes and parts condense with the ice-cold water from outside inside here and then sometimes drip down. At that spot, the wood fiber insulation//rough boarding on the floor was probably not the best idea

Condensation on pipes and fittings and possibly windows also indicates that the house is not yet dry. Wrapping with cloth definitely helps and therefore keep doing it.

It is even damp inside the grey pipe insulation on the right side and has caused a damp spot on the raw floor there.

Sewage leak? The bottom 100mm socket is crooked and not deep enough.
