Concreting a strip in front of the garage

That looks really good. Is that regular granite window sill? Maybe that would be a good idea for my problem.

Yes, normal granite, we have the same on the stairs. Be careful when laying it because the weight itself pushes the adhesive out if it is too wet.

The clean solution would be to chisel out the strip to a depth of 10cm and then lay the paving from the driveway into some concrete. It's a nasty job, but the result is then very homogeneous. If you only do it with concrete, I would simply use ready-made bags of cement screed for that little bit. Steel won't do much at that thickness, it will crack somewhere. But in my opinion, that's not a big deal.

Hi, I am facing the same problem. Simply put, we forgot to insert a piece of wood in the reveal when pouring the foundation or something like that. Obviously, the garage builder type doesn’t think of that :-( I don’t think the granite slab solution is so bad. Especially since with the right adhesive, I think it can be something permanent. Chiseling 10cm at the foundation....phew I still have one question: the seal of the sectional door runs directly on metal for you. Is that a U-profile in the screed or how did you implement that? With that background, it would be interesting to know what covering is on the screed. Thanks
