Concrete or Holdach for double garage

Good evening,

we are planning to partially build a double garage (6x9m) ourselves for our new construction.
On half of the garage, a wooden roof terrace is to be built.

A buddy of mine is a mason and will accordingly build the garage, this should not be a problem.

Now to my question, wood or concrete ceiling?

It should also be mentioned that I work in the wood industry and can get the material at a fairly good price.

A concrete ceiling is certainly for eternity but significantly more expensive than a wooden ceiling, right?

Suggestions are welcome.

Are you really still asking? Wooden beam layer and that's that... Concrete ceiling is only slightly more expensive than wood – but if you want to insulate it, you have to buy expensive insulation that has a slope. I was also faced with the decision and chose the beam layer. We did masonry on Friday/Saturday in almost the same size.

A buddy of mine is a bricklayer and will accordingly lay the bricks for the garage, so that should not be a problem.

I have two additional questions:

1. Who is responsible for the structural engineering?
2. Are you even allowed to build a terrace above the garage? Not every development plan permits this – regardless of the setback distances.

1. a structural engineer, who has already been commissioned.

2. The double garage has been approved with a roof terrace.
