Hello everyone,
We currently have a small problem – we forgot to include the tile adhesive in the floor construction.
Now we are about 3mm above plan in the hallway.
We are currently planning a 10mm floor tile.
We could..
1. look for a 7-8mm tile (there are rather few in large formats..?! )
2. live with the 3mm difference (any experiences here? Is it visually noticeable? Felt transition?)
3. sand down the 20sqm by 3mm
What would you do?
Best regards
Bernd

How is the transition designed? The tiler can also apply less adhesive towards the transition, ours did that.

We have a transition on the upper floor from bathroom (tile) to hallway (vinyl glued without carrier board) and he somehow filled it in with putty, you can't notice anything from it.

For God's sake - what a botch! :o

...no, seriously: 3 mm is a whisper of nothing.
Which covering is considered critical for the transition?
Normally, the transition (door threshold) is plastered over a length of about a meter, but I think you can save that as long as we're not talking about a CM here.

3mm are nothing at all. I don't see any problem there at all.
