"to change something a little" rarely works... but she will then also have that experience ;-) Sweethome 3D is sufficient for a bit of tinkering.

We bought a very nice program a few months ago that we get along well with. It is called "Home Designer Suite 2015"
It helps us a lot. Time and again we work on our design for a while, set it aside for a few weeks, and then sit down with new ideas to continue. I can really only recommend it!

I use "Room Arranger" for 3D visualization. I feel like I make the fastest progress with it. You can’t render 3D images, but you can apply textures to objects.

Objects that are not available in the library can be nicely assembled from various 3D objects. It’s much faster than having to create a 3D model first in a separate program.
