Basically none at all. But if a person over 70 asks, because he doesn’t even want to transport a significantly smaller vibrating plate, then it might become a problem. Especially since the vibrating plate is more for coarse motor skills and with the palisades you have to lift and set them properly. With a proper installation, there isn’t much levering involved either, because you don’t have a great leverage point (assuming setting on lean concrete).

You cannot separate the construction of the stairs from their base. For such a stepped foundation, even the small plate compactors are far too large. And what the sketch shows so nicely beveled here, you will hardly be able to compact properly in practice.
