No, put the expanded metal directly over it and then plaster. It still needs to dry. I did it the same way myself. No cracks, the wall became even, and Rotband is easy and simple to work with.

But the area under the expanded metal mesh remains hollow then?

CAT7, so proper shielding and the 2cm distance is ensured by a spacer.. ;) Also regarding the electrical installation: Apart from the kitchen, almost all supply lines are protected with B13..

You are right, I actually closed it first and then put expanded metal over it. What three years make a difference. That’s why to let it dry thoroughly.

I see no problem with the data cables laid parallel to the power lines. For me, it would be a problem if they were not laid to be replaceable. I would always put them in a conduit.
