We excavated our construction pit of 500t ourselves (two weeks ago). Rental of excavator (13t) including diesel for 2 days = €1100 gross

You would still have to calculate hourly wage*8h*2 days and would have the total cost.

Note, we managed excavation and construction in two days, so only excavation in two days should be realistic for you.

I also consider the price to be a rip-off and recommend looking for alternatives. We have paid a maximum of 25 EUR per CUBIC meter including digging, hauling, and disposal. Although that was relatively cheap, there were also comparable alternatives. Similarly, there were also offers at the price level of the one you mentioned :( Rip-off artists.

We have now stopped the excavation at the end of this. 1m below street level, the general contractor takes over the digging.
