But it should be an unrealistic, artistic building. I don't need architects or structural engineers for that. As far as I'm concerned, it doesn't even need floors. I just can't imagine a one-story house somehow falling over if I build everything out of iron and steel. So why would you still need structural engineers?

For example, to calculate whether the ceiling above the one-story building will still hold up if a correspondingly large amount of wet snow is on it.

Roofs have actually collapsed under snow load...

Won a trip to Mars? Then a tarpaulin is not enough. It has to be airtight. Also, heating with knallgas will not be sufficient given the temperature differences. Whether there are already building regulations on Mars still needs to be researched. :rolleyes:

I think there are building regulations in Bulgaria as well... because Bulgaria is also an EU member and there are regulations for constructing buildings everywhere in the EU. Just buy yourself an island somewhere in the South Pacific and declare your own constitution..:D. Then you can build however you want if necessary.
