Hello!
We had the sales consultant of a prefab house company with us yesterday. We pointed out to him quite early that we intend to use Wfa funds, as we had already received approval for Model A.
Now the salesperson presented us with an (internal?) letter from an unspecified source, which stated that only applications submitted by September 15 should be evaluated according to the current guidelines. Included would also be house purchase contracts concluded under the condition of the provision of public funds by this date.
He then verbally told us about the new guidelines planned after the deadline: Model B would be completely dropped and the plot size would be limited to 400m². Since our plot exceeds this limit, funding after 09/15 would no longer be possible for us.
It makes me extremely suspicious, of course, that this deadline should end exactly one week after our sales meeting and thus naturally plays right into the salesperson's hands. Moreover, I cannot imagine that this information would not somehow get onto the internet; so far, I have not been able to find any.
Is it even usual for such planned changes to be kept secret in order to avoid a flood of applications? I was only at the responsible authority for Wfa funds last week and was only informed about the deadline for this year’s grants (November 15). According to the sales consultant, the employee was not even allowed to share information about the planned changes with me.
So now my question is whether anyone here has similar information or can assess whether something like this is even realistic. On the one hand, I find the whole thing rather unbelievable, on the other hand, I somehow cannot imagine that an experienced regional sales manager would use such dubious tactics to squeeze a signature for a house contract out of us as quickly as possible.
Best regards Christian
