Change of usufruct rights, can the bank refuse?

It doesn't matter at all what value the hallway and niche have. The point is that the owner wants exclusive usage rights. And no co-owner or bank should agree to that.

Well, your bank seems to think similarly – so my assessment of the bank isn’t entirely wrong.

And if the space doesn’t have any value anyway, the applicant shouldn’t be upset if their request is denied. Nothing changes for them.

And just to go back to your question from the original post. Yes, the bank may (and should) object.

We owners find it fair and want it that way. No, the bank doesn’t see it like you do, it just wants to get a final impression in order to decide.

One could also sell this general part. Then the bank has nothing to say anyway.
