Hello everyone,
we were approached by our construction management to ask whether we might want to adjust our heating option due to the current events (political, gas, war, etc.).
We are currently building a KfW55 house (city villa, 148 sqm) and at the time of signing the contract last year, we chose a gas heating system in combination with solar thermal energy. Now the idea is to cancel the gas heating including solar thermal short-term and switch to an air heat pump.
We have a bit of uncertainty regarding how long the adjustments on the part of the construction company (architect, etc.) will actually take. This could possibly also lead to a "construction stop" up to a delayed move-in. Regarding the status of the construction, we are at the point that the foundation slab and the ground floor have been completed and next the intermediate ceiling will be built.
As far as I know, a "supplement" has to be submitted to the building authority. Nevertheless, further questions arise:
1. Can the heating system still be changed that easily during the construction phase and after obtaining the building permit?
2. Which documents are needed for a supplement at the building authority? Exterior views, data sheets of the air heat pump, and what else?
3. Could there possibly be problems with the already approved KfW55 application and would a new energy calculation have to be made regarding the funding?
4. Are there any other issues and/or points that should be considered?
Thank you in advance!
Best regards, Martin
