We have over 80 spots in the new building. Tested the 5W 36° spot from Osram last weekend. Trash, totally dark! In direct comparison, a 12W halogen lamp is clearly brighter, even though the Osram spot is supposed to correspond to a 35W lamp.

Thank you for the tips. I have decided to illuminate only the hallway (7m long) with 5 spots, spacing would be 1.16m, and the countertop/sink (2.1m) with 2 spots. Spacing 70-80cm. Otherwise, central ceiling lights and in the shower an additional outlet for a splash-proof ceiling light. In the living room, of course, 2 ceiling lights each centered. While browsing, I found ceiling lights that can be adjusted via remote control, from 2800-6000K, dimmable, 270° beam angle, 128 LEDs, 45W, 712-4000 lumens. Also available with 90W and 9000 lumens. If that's not enough, then I don't know. I think it's great that you can vary the color temperature and brightness. And if I don't like it, I can always suspend the ceiling later. It shouldn't be more expensive than 25 core drillings.

Can you send me a link to the ceiling lights that can be dimmed in temperature and brightness? Sounds interesting

Doesn't it make more sense to consider something like this during construction? You can certainly leave corresponding recesses with installation housings when casting the ceiling. Whether the core drillings will even work later (there's not just concrete in the ceiling, but also reinforcement, ventilation ducts, etc.) would be the next question. Or am I being too scrupulous?

Core drilling is usually not permitted unless statically considered in advance. And above all, how is that supposed to be wired? Suspending the ceiling is out of the question. Who still wants a ceiling that is lower than necessary today? So basically, only housings for embedding at 5 euros each remain.
