Carport directly attached to the house? Entrance canopy for the house?

Hello everyone,

I just have to try to clear up my question marks here and ask about your experiences. We are planning to build a house on an approximately 550m² plot (see sketch). The house should be positioned as far "down" as possible on the sketch (south/east) because we want to have as much distance/space as possible to the plot "above" (north/west). I hope I have expressed myself clearly.

Actually, I would like a double carport with a storage room behind it, but I think that takes up too much space (approx. 9m x 6m?). Therefore, the idea now is a single carport with a side storage room (blue sketch).

An alternative would be to build the carport directly onto the house and omit the house entrance canopy (also blue) and simply extend the carport up to that point so that it replaces this canopy of the house entrance. Do you understand what I mean? However, I am currently somehow resisting building a carport directly onto the house because it will not be built by the house construction company. I am somehow concerned about the sealing between carport and house and, if there is any damage there, who would be responsible for it, etc.

Maybe all of this is totally unproblematic? What experiences do you have with this?

Has anyone placed a carport somewhat similarly and integrated a house entrance canopy with it? What would you do?

Thanks and best regards!
Anma

I have built a double carport with a storage room attached to the house. Also as an entrance canopy. It is approximately 6x8m. It is not firmly connected to the house. A lean-to carport was not really an option because of the [WDVS]. There is a few centimeters of space between the posts and the house wall. Since we have an 80cm roof overhang, no sealing is needed (even though it is on the gable side).

Thank you for the quick response. That sounds very interesting! Would you be willing to send me a photo of it?

Where is the street and the driveway? A carport directly on the street is often not allowed.

Our carport is 4 cm away from the house wall and it doesn't bother anyone, nor is it noticeable. Is that allowed? Carport/something on the street? By the way, I stand by the opinion that you need space in front of the house, while behind the house, meaning the garden, space is allowed.

Good morning, so the street is located at the small corner at the front and that is also the access to the property. The property is located in the second row. I can also attach another drawing later. It is definitely allowed as we have drawn it. There are properties all around, only at the small corner at the bottom left in the drawing (Süden) the street comes and ends at our property.
