Thank you for the answers. Then I probably made myself crazy for nothing. However, I will bring it up with the architect again.

Regards.

Well, who wants to calculate? No one. That is why every product has a note indicating whether it is [Fußbodenheizung]-suitable or not. We have installed both: carpet as well as parquet, and tiles on the ground floor. It feels like the heat from the [Fußbodenheizung] penetrates the carpet better than the parquet.

I agree with .

We have laid velvet carpet throughout the entire upper floor, except for the bathroom. On the ground floor in another room as well. The floor is wonderfully warm, the rooms heat up faster than vinyl, and walking barefoot is very pleasant! There are carpets designed for underfloor heating. It should also be antistatic. Additionally, it binds dust very well.

Ah, someone has already written about carpets here :-D Are there any manufacturer recommendations for carpets? I am considering whether we should choose carpet instead of laminate flooring in the bedroom and possibly the children's room as well... but I am still undecided. Until now, I always thought of laminate only, and carpets at most as an addition, not as a complete covering. What do you have to consider and what quality features/differences are there? And how much did your carpets cost per square meter approximately?

We have a velour from Vorwerk. It must be antistatic and suitable for underfloor heating. The price is 30 € per sqm. We got a discount because we bought 120 sqm of carpet. ;)

First of all, you should consider whether you prefer loop pile or velour. Both types have their advantages and disadvantages. We particularly like the barefoot feeling on our velour.

With small children, however, we would have laid loop pile instead of velour because loop pile is much more durable and can also be scrubbed well.
