Hello!

First of all, I’m really glad that I came across this page because I think building a house raises quite a few questions. Especially when you’re building for the first time. Now I already have the first question... We are building a single-family house with a developer and submitted the building application to the municipality last week. Today a huge stack of papers came back and we have no idea what to do with them. It is about the following

- Building application (duplicate)
- Start of construction notification (2 copies)
- Notification of occupancy (2 copies)
- Declaration on batter board acceptance (2 copies)
- Application for water supply for construction purposes
- Registration form for statutory accident insurance

Can someone maybe shed some light on this? Do we have to fill out these papers ourselves? Or does the developer? If we have to fill them out ourselves... where does all this go? We really have no idea and there is nothing written on it either. It would be great if someone would get back to me....

Regards, Resi

It depends on what you have contractually agreed with your property developer. For me, the construction company handles all of that. They fill out the forms and send them to me to forward.

Hello Resi,

first of all, it strikes me that you obviously haven’t communicated much with your BT/seller or they have been rather uncommunicative so far

In my opinion, this is the building permit.

Copy the documents and bring the original to your developer. He will tell you on which papers he needs your signature, what he will take care of for you, or what you have to handle yourself.

Kind regards

@Bauexperte - unfortunately, it's not that easy because our BT is 3 hours by car away from us :-( But I'll give them a call tomorrow... Regards, Resi

Hello Resi,

Then send the documents via ERSCH to your BT.

Kind regards
