Hello,
I was lucky today that a 20t excavator "unintentionally dug up" my earth cable between the house and the garage (the conduit for it was incorrectly installed by another company, not where it was planned, and the warning tape was not far enough from the cable, but that is another matter).
Since the price per meter is beyond the 2 EUR/m mark (NYY-J 4mm²), I wanted to know if I can still safely use the remaining pieces, or if I have to dispose of the entire cable due to possible further break points? The cable was in a conduit and was pulled out a bit on both sides from the wall (garage and residential building). On one side of the excavator's shovel, it was cleanly cut, 120 cm further on the other side of the shovel it was stripped. Can I still use the two remaining pieces individually (about 25m each)? I measure a specific resistance of 110 mOhm on all cores, does that mean the cable is still okay?
I will replace the cable itself because I don’t want to patch it outdoors, but maybe I can at least still use the cable from the fuse box to the workshop?
Thanks for your tips!
