I agree with you that the banks are making a lot of profit from it, but that does not necessarily mean that Wohn-Riester can't be worthwhile.

One question, I saw a plot of land here, but I just don't understand all the technical Chinese ^^

Buildable with a detached two-family house (9x14m)
approx. 300m² plot size, division still subject to approval
Demolition costs already included.
Building plans for a two-family house are available and can be taken over upon request.

What do I understand by demolition plot?

There is still an old dilapidated house on it, which must be disposed of by oneself. A house with 2 units may also be built on the property. Preliminary plans exist.

A single-family house is possible too, right? Is the size given (9x14m) common? Or is that rather too small?

"Teilung noch vorbehalten" presumably means that the property has not yet been surveyed, so there are only plans so far. The advantage is that the property can possibly still be adapted in terms of size and layout to personal planning.

9m*14m is 126m² gross floor area, which is quite substantial. What the architect can achieve also depends on the zoning plan.

Ah ok thanks.

I currently have another idea in mind. Wouldn't it perhaps be more sensible to buy an apartment instead of a plot of land and rent it out? What are your thoughts on that?
