Hi,
I'm new here.
Here is the post for my introduction in the forum:
My question:
ROOF
Hipped roof 30°
Attic not developed.
For future use/extension, a regular staircase is already being planned. Additionally, connections are being routed upwards to facilitate the later extension.
For a house with the dimensions: 12.5 x 11.6 and a roof overhang of 70cm, I think a roof extension is quite possible.
No windows are planned for now.
The planned house stands free and elevated, so it is also quite exposed to wind and weather
(therefore also a hipped roof)
Question:
1. Do you have experience with a similar planning and can give me tips
on what to watch out for? Is there anything in this plan that you would advise against?
2. Would you build the floor or ceiling as a wooden beam ceiling or concrete ceiling?
My planner said that with a wooden beam ceiling only drywall partitions would be possible for the later roof extension (because of the load).
According to my planner’s estimate, there is not much difference in cost.
3. Clay tiles are planned for the roof.
As far as I know, clay tiles are more expensive. On the other hand, concrete tiles are supposed to be good nowadays too.
What are your experiences? And what would you recommend?
I am very grateful for tips and experiences and look forward to your opinion!
Thanks in advance
