Meal time!

I have a question about the home savings contract.

I have a home savings contract with LBS with the lock-in period until 09.10.2015.
The home savings amount is €10,000; so far I have saved about €5,300.

Since I would like to have access to the money (but it doesn't have to be immediately) to pay for paving work or similar later, I am wondering how best to approach this.
About €400 in government subsidies and interest bonuses are still pending, which I do not want to forgo.

Should I terminate now as of 10.10.2015?
Or should I just wait until they contact me regarding allocation at that time?
Of course, I do not want to take out the loan.
Does it benefit me if I pay in the difference beforehand and fully fund the home savings contract to €10,000?

Regards Sebastian

So I have in my online overview how long I would have to wait for allocation if I now pay the missing amount in a lump sum (but not 100%, rather 40%, the rest would be a loan). So far, it has always been 2 years. You can also have the credit paid out without losing the subsidy if you provide proof of residential use ([Bausparkasse] ask!) or there are other reasons such as disability. Again, just ask the [Bausparkasse]! Actually, you already have this [Bausparer] "full," it's just about the allocation now. It might also be faster if you waive the loan.

You should not terminate the contract but rather find out when the contract is ready for allocation. Then simply tick "Pay out money, credit is not needed." Since I assume the contract is already somewhat old, the credit interest should also be quite nice. I would therefore postpone the payout as far back as possible, as makes sense for you.

I am currently overpaying the building savings contract and can stop in July - in November the money will be available without loss of subsidies and I could still use a very small part of the loan. If you still have money to overpay and don’t want to wait that long, I would ask about the terms.
