Building plot for carport or parking space

No one has 5.5m of space in front of their carport or garage. And where is the fire department or rescue supposed to stop if I don’t build any carport or similar? The house is at 3m – I don’t quite understand why only in front of a carport or garage.

But you do know that the state building code stipulates the following.

For facilities where vehicular access or exit traffic is expected, parking spaces and garages must be provided to the necessary extent on the building plot or at a reasonable distance on a suitable property, whose use for this purpose is legally secured (required parking spaces).

And just because others don’t have this doesn’t make it any better. Although I can’t believe that; if a garage is involved, people do build enough space in front to park another car.

We have a similar situation and also a 5m distance rule. I questioned this as well and was told the reason is the narrowness of the private road. If the garages are built so close to the street, vehicles would, based on experience, constantly be parked (partially) on the private road, since no one always drives the car all the way into the garage. Additionally, this creates more private parking space "around the back," and it also looks very cramped at such cul-de-sacs when the builders build garages/carports too close to the street.
