Isn't the situation completely paradoxical? Economically, Leipzig is completely behind, the salaries are ridiculous compared to the expensive Switzerland. Someone still wants to return there. However, it is not really feasible because the housing price situation has completely detached itself from reality.

Actually understandable that one wants to return to their homeland. It's a common situation with the Germans in Switzerland. But if you haven't built up a cushion, it becomes difficult here.

The question arises whether you can get a loan in Leipzig at all without an existing employment contract. Or rather, the whole thing would be too risky for me without knowing my future salary... I would also first move into a rental apartment and then calmly look for a plot of land.

Welcome to cities that have only been booming for a relatively short time. Wages have not yet equalized for a long time, but land and property prices have already skyrocketed due to popularity and extreme influx. Leipzig has been leading the percentage migration statistics in Germany for years (together with Münster, I believe).
