Morning again

then the spots in the bathroom are already out.
I myself am considering a stretch ceiling backlit with LEDs for the bathroom in our house.
additionally mirror lights and an illuminated makeup mirror.

We have already gone through this topic. Too sensitive with high costs. As the house will settle a bit over the first few years, the stretch ceiling could crack.

I find spotlights in the bathroom okay; in other rooms, I miss the charm. There are very beautiful lights that could also be replaced if desired. With spotlights, you are stuck: once spotlights, always spotlights.

The stretch ceiling tears because the house settles? Ok, if you say so ...

Again: Just because a lamp is built into the ceiling, it is not necessarily a spotlight. In my 60 m² living/dining area, I have a total of eight (!) recessed downlights that can illuminate about 40 m² with approximately 300 lux if needed. That is bright enough – and definitely not achievable with eight spots.

Regarding the 60,- EUR: That is roughly the price I paid per recessed housing – without the lamp. For 30,- EUR more, the electrician could also have installed a standard GU10 socket including (halogen) bulb, but of course, you can’t achieve this lighting with that.

Best regards

No, the stretch ceiling installer said that the ceiling COULD tear. He would install it for us, with a light strip and color effects, hung from the drywall ceiling. Cost: almost €3,000.

Therefore, we decided on a different ceiling. Also high-gloss, but less expensive.

What exactly did you install then if not standard 0815 spots with GU10 sockets?
